2016 USAC National Rankings

Here are my 2016 USA Cycling (USAC) national rankings for Masters age-group Category 4 Time Trial competitors. The first ranking in each category is from November 1, 2015, at the end the 2015 season. The second ranking, in bold, is as of October 1, 2016, after my last race. Note that all of my rankings declined due to a combination of two factors: the addition of younger competitors in my age group and my poor race results while I was recovering from pneumonia during May and June. This steady decline will continue until I move into the next older Masters age group.

• Rank in State: 4 of 102 (3.92%); 2 of 103 (1.94%).
• Rank in Riding Age: 1 of 13 (7.69%); 2 of 14 (14.29%).
• Rank in 5 Year Age Group: 9 of 74 (12.16%); 12 of 77 (15.58%).
• Rank in 10 Year Age Group: 24 of 234 (10.26%); 38 of 249 (15.26%).
• Overall Rank: 105 of 3,2014 (3.28%); 125 of 2,882 (4.34%).

I passed up an opportunity to compete at the national masters age-group time trial championship in 2016 in Winston-Salem, NC, but plan to compete in 2017: Rank in 5 Year Age Group (against all Categories): 14 of 191 (7.32%); 20 of 212 (9.43%).
