2023 SEASON FOCUS
I have a single focus for my 14th consecutive time trial race season, my second with my state-of-the-art recumbent race trike: two national age-group time trial trike championships. (Three inaugural age-group trike world records for 100 kilometer (62.1 miles), 100 miles, and six (6) hours have been postponed to 2024.) This is my race schedule (updated 9/6/2023).

SEASON RECAP: Roughly a month before National Senior Games (NSG), I suffered a freak accident that severely damaged a ligament in my right hand. The subsequent swelling also affected my right knee and foot. All three became extremely swollen. I was unable to put my foot into my cycling shoe. So, I had to suspend any training for two months. I withdrew from NSG. Turns out that I would have been a double national champion because I was the only entry in my age-group and bike category. I resumed training on August 8th and completed the season with 4,228.79 miles. My lifetime mileage total now stands at 145,861.34 miles. Only 4,138.66 miles to go to 150,000 miles.
