Contact Me

My name is Jim DeGoey (AKA: MastersTTRacer). I am a former USA Cycling (USAC) and a former American Bicycle Racing (ABR) Licensed Category 4 Masters Age-Group amateur competitive cyclist. I am also a former Certified USAC Coach.

During the past 23 years, I entered 22 road races/criteriums (2001 to 2004) and finished 11 of them. I finished fast (20 mph average) solo centuries in 2002 and 2003 without the aid of a paceline or companion riders. I have entered 111 time trials (2010 to present) and finished 109 of them, with 28 victories and 66 podium finishes.

My victories include 13 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics age-group time trial championships (2013-2019), 2014 Virginia Senior Games age-group time trial championship, 2014 Virginia State age-group time trial championship, two Mid-Atlantic regional age-group time trial series championships (2014-2015), four Wisconsin Senior Olympics age-group time trial championships (2019-2020), 2019 Wisconsin State age-group time trial championship, 2019 American Bike Racing national age-group team time trial championship, and 2022 Mid-American Time Trial Series regional age-group championship.

I have logged over 140,000 training and racing miles to date. I have survived prostate cancer and four serious bike crashes, one in a race and the other three while training. The crash on June 27, 2021, broke my neck and back forcing me to switch from a standard bike to a recumbent tricycle to continue racing.
