Base 2 – Week 5 Training Report

BASE 2 – WEEK 5 (01/17 – 01/23) TRAINING REPORT

HIGHLIGHTS: The goal for this training period is to continue slowly increasing time in the saddle, as well as lower body strength training and a 20-minute yoga routine three times weekly aimed at strengthening my shoulders and lower back. All workouts were conducted indoors with the Zwift application.

Tuesday’s L1 Active Recovery Varied workout was 19.51 miles in 1:00:14. Average speed was 19.5 mph; maximum speed was 23.9 mph. Average power was 116 watts; maximum power was 155 watts.

Wednesday’s L2 Longer Endurance Ride workout was 20.29 miles in 1:04:38. Average speed was 18.9 mph; maximum speed was 36.3 mph. Average power was 126 watts; maximum power was 182 watts.

Thursday’s L1 Active Recovery Rolling workout was 19.35 miles in 1:00:12. Average speed was 19.3 mph; maximum speed was 24.0 mph. Average power was 115 watts; maximum power was 165 watts.

Friday’s L2 Endurance Rolling Pace workout was 34.66 miles in 1:52:47. Average speed was 18.8 mph; maximum speed was 23.9 mph. Average power was 109 watts; maximum power was 159 watts.

Saturday’s L1 Active Recovery Undulating workout was 19.60 miles in 1:00:12. Average speed was 19.6 mph; maximum speed was 26.3 mph. Average power was 109 watts; maximum power was 162 watts.
