BREAK – WEEK 1 (12/24 – 12/30) TRAINING REPORT
HIGHLIGHTS: This was the first of two weeks over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. This break allows for numerous time constraints due to family and social commitments. In addition, there will be an 800-mile move of residence from Virginia to Wisconsin. This week’s workouts included one ride conducted outdoors on the local bike trail and a workout conducted indoors on a power trainer.
Tuesday’s ride was a 26.51 mile effort at 60%-70% MHR completed in 1:53:38. Average speed was 14.0 mph; maximum speed was 22.6 mph.
Wednesday’s workout was seven one-minute anaerobic intervals with one-minute easy recovery between the intervals. Average speed was 15.2 mph; maximum speed was 22.1 mph. Average power was 114 watts; maximum power was 265 watts.
