Break – Week 2 Training Report
BREAK – WEEK 2 (12/31 – 01/06) TRAINING REPORT
HIGHLIGHTS: This was the second of two weeks over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. This break allows for numerous time constraints due to family and social commitments. In addition, there was an 800-mile move of residence from Virginia to Wisconsin. This week’s workouts included two ride conducted outdoors on the local bike trail and a workout conducted indoors on a kinetic trainer.
Friday’s ride was a 27.85 mile effort at 60%-70% MHR completed in 2:04:30. Average speed was 13.5 mph; maximum speed was 22.8 mph.
Saturday’s ride was a 27.53 mile effort at 60%-70% MHR completed in 1:56:24. Average speed was 14.2 mph; maximum speed was 24.9 mph.
Sunday’s workout was a Functional Threshold Power test. Average speed was 16.1 mph; maximum speed was 21.9 mph. Average power was 140 watts; maximum power was 357 watts.
