Build 2 – Week 3 Training Report

BUILD 2 – WEEK 3 (05/24 – 05/30) TRAINING REPORT

HIGHLIGHTS: The aim for this phase of training for the 2021 race season is to continue increasing the time in the saddle with endurance and speed workouts, plus weekly races. Workouts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday were conducted outdoors on local bike trails or local roads. Friday’s workout was conducted indoors on a direct-drive power trainer using the ZWIFT online applications.

Tuesday’s L2 Endurance workout was 25.89 miles completed in 1:32:89. Average speed was 16.8 mph; maximum speed was 23.9 mph. Average power was 148 watts; maximum power was 469 watts.

Wednesday’s L2 Rolling Endurance workout was 23.17 miles completed in 1:34:03. Average speed was 16.3 mph; maximum speed was 23.5 mph. Average power was 148 watts; maximum power was 501 watts.

Thursday’s L5 VO2max Intervals workout was 23.37 miles completed in 1:34:03. Average speed was 14.9 mph; maximum speed was 20.9 mph. Average power was 137 watts; maximum power was 406 watts.

Friday’s L1 Active Recovery Steady workout was 60 minutes at 105-140 watts. Average speed was 18.7 mph; maximum speed was 23.6 mph. Average power was 116 watts; maximum power was 161 watts.

Saturday’s L4/L6 Pre-Race Day Prep was 23.10 miles completed in 1:29:50. Average speed was 15.4 mph; maximum speed was 21.1 mph. Average power was 146 watts; maximum power was 445 watts.

Sunday’s race was: WBR Harvard 22 KM Time Trial.
